This is the first in, hopefully, a series of all brand new events based from the recently-renovated Tally Ho Inn in the hamlet of Bouldon, in the heart of the stunning Corvedale Valley.

This walk is from Bouldon, using paths, bridleways, quiet roads and the Shropshire Way(on the Brown Clee massif) to the highest point in Shropshire of Abdon Burf on Brown Clee.
Generally paths/tracks are good if a bit muddy in places and some sections of the Shropshire Way are especially muddy.
Although more ascent than the Corvedale Three Castles for instance, the gradient is quite gentle, there is nothing steep, just gradually uphill from the start(!) over about 5 miles and a bit.
I have chosen to go from south to north and via Nordy Bank Hill Fort before eventually picking up the Shropshire Way heading north.
There is an option to visit the Clee Hills Memorial to the fallen airmen on the day - it is just off our route but I wasn't inclined to go hunting for it in the fog on the recce but will have found it before this date!

**Route Description**

From Bouldon, a bit of road then field paths/bridleway to the Boot then road through Clee St. Margaret and Cleemarsh.
Pick up path on to Brown Clee going round the north-west edge via Nordy Bank then traversing Clee Liberty eventually picking up the Shropshire Way to Abdon Burf.
Continue north on the Shropshire Way then descend on road through Abdon then picking up more paths and bridleways back to the cars.
(There will be a short detour, about a mile from the finish, to visit the remarkably well-preserved Anglican chapel of Heath, built in the 12th century. It has its own Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heath_Chapel).

**Distance:** 11.2 miles(18.1 km)
**Ascent:** 1830 feet(558 metres)
**Parking:** There is a small layby on the bend of the road, just where the access road goes up to the Tally Ho Inn. Park here in the layby, NOT in front of the Tally Ho Inn. I have checked and reckon there is comfortably room for 10 cars - if I know people are sharing I can increase the number but based on recent attendances 10 probably isn't a problem.

**Sunday Lunch Option**

Food at the Tally Ho Inn comes highly recommended - their menus extend beyond the usual pub fare.
As their Sunday lunch hours are a generous 12 to 4PM I plan to book for 3PM so should be ample time to do the walk without rushing.I won't book this until a few days before when numbers are known.
