Volunteers age 13 and older (ages 13-16 must be with an adult) can register to join us to inspect, sort or pack donated products. To participate on this shift, please register as an individual (instructions below) and DM me (Sarah) to confirm that you will be attending.
Their volunteer coordinator asked that we sign up as individuals on Second Harvest's site, so that we can all be sure of who will be coming. I personally had a little trouble registering the first time so I created this Google doc with step-by-step instructions on how to do it: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QrPxqgtVf903JIvjZW6xlHUBMFqVbUD3eXc4IsuKWNs/edit?usp=sharing
Let me know if you have questions. Looking forward to serving with you soon!

- Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child (registration required)7100 Forest Point Blvd, Charlotte, NC
Before the millions of shoebox gifts that Samaritan's Purse collected can be shipped around the world, each one has to be carefully inspected and made ready by volunteers like you.
We have 6 individual spots reserve for this shift. You must register for one here to participate: https://www.occvolunteersignup.com/VolunteerSignUp/IndexGroup?rg=b3bd544baf8a4243a2c69faa4851259e
The link will take you to a registration page that is connected to our team. Getting everyone registered ensures we have enough people to cover this shift and helps speed us through check-in when we get there, so please register to participate!
Our team will be responsible for inspecting gifts, working with filler items, scanning labels, organizing shoeboxes by age and gender into designated cartons, and heavy lifting. There is a very helpful video at the bottom of this page and more info for volunteers here. Due to the fast-paced environment of the warehouse and changing needs, you may be asked to do different tasks during your shift. Details about the Charlotte processing center are here. I'll send around more specific instructions for registered volunteers before our shift.
I realize it's a long shift, but the time will fly by! Look forward to serving with you soon!
