What we’re about
Love On A Leash® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing an avenue for volunteer pet therapy teams to engage in meaningful and productive animal assisted therapy.
This group was set up as a private group for certified members of Love on a Leash, or teams in training who have passed their Control Evaluation. Our visit locations include places like nursing homes, hospitals, schools and libraries where we provide comfort and happiness to individuals or groups who live in Lexington or the surrounding area. This group is designed for our chapter members to be able to keep in touch with each other and share therapy events.
PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP TO A VISIT IF YOUR DOG IS NOT A CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG WITH LOVE ON A LEASH- THIS IS A LEGAL ISSUE AND YOU CANNOT VISIT THESE FACILITIES WITHOUT THE PROPER CREDENTIALS.
