We are finally able to visit certain areas in the VA Hospital again!

There have been a lot of changes lately at the VA pertaining to where they want us to visit. Please start your visit on 4S for the CLC (Community living center) visit. Please go to 2nd floor at 10:30am for a 15 minute visit with folks in between classes. I believe it’s 2W. It’s the substance abuse program. (Look for the SAARP sign and pick up the phone receiver, tell them you are there for pet therapy.) After you finish on 2W, you can go to 5E and, or 3N.

**This visit is currently only open to VA Certified Volunteers.** **You must be current in the VA system to attend this visit.** (See below for information on this)

**As a reminder, the VA does not allow it's volunteers to wear jeans.**

Please meet at the hospital front entrance **NO LATER THAN 9:45am** so our dogs can do a meet and greet and then we will check in at the volunteer office, and head to the 4th floor.
**If you arrive late, you WILL NOT BE ABLE TO JOIN US ONCE WE HAVE ENTERED THE BUILDING.**

If you are a certified team, and interested in visiting the VA in the future, please contact the VA Volunteer Office to start the clearance process. Hopefully going forward we will start adding additional VA visits to our chapter calendar.
