Rancho Springs/Inland Valley Hospitals offer certified pet therapy teams an opportunity to volunteer. No training teams allowed.

Go to the Menu bar, click “Events”, click “Volunteering”, then fill out the “Online Volunteer Application”. They will contact you to come in for an interview and then lead you through the steps of applying.

Applying here will give you the opportunity to visit either/both Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital or/and Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital.

Southwest Healthcare System will provide you with the training, protocols, medical, health and background checks, and volunteer badges for you and you therapy dog. A walk-through to familiarize you with the hospital will be with one of our Love On A Leash volunteers. The commitment for a volunteer is one year. You will be allowed to visit between the hours of 10am-8pm, 7 days a week. You will be expected to attend necessary meetings and keep up on requirements. A volunteer shirt will be provided. Until you receive your volunteer shirt, you are to wear your LOAL/royal blue or white shirt. Your ID badges must be visible on you and your pet.
