What we’re about
There are no auditions - just singing for joy each Sunday at 5pm! All over 16's are welcome to attend, pre-booking is not required and you can come along each week that you're available.
This Community Choir meets at the Tree of Life Centre, Hove. Typically there is a group of 12 to 20 singers. We meet each week to uplift with music from around the world ranging from traditional to folk and spiritual to modern.
Led by the lovely Sue Fairhurst, the choir offers a friendly and fun way to end the weekend with sessions running between 5 - 6:30 pm in the Centre's main studio room (usually £4 with hot drinks / biscuit break included).
Sue Fairhurst has worked with a wide range of choirs, bands and orchestras. She is a former Music Director at Varndean and Brighton & Hove High School, and brings a lot of experience, warmth and fun to her sessions.
Sue says:
"My philosophy is that if you can talk you can sing. I believe that there are just a few simple steps to freeing up your natural voice, and my goal is to encourage people to do that. I help people to find their voice, to enjoy singing and discover the therapeutic benefits of singing in harmony as part of a supportive group."
Everyone is welcome - we hope to see you there!
