What we’re about

We are a friendly and diverse group of people in and around Southern Salt Lake County and Northern County of Utah who play free poker games along with beginning free lessons in game shops, and low stakes, just-for-fun poker games in private homes usually fairly early on a Saturday evening. As people are able to step up and offer their own kitchen table for us to play on once or twice a month, we hope to eventually play once a week.

None of our games are raked, dealers and hosts are not paid, nothing is commercial, and no one under 21 can play or join.

We hope you'll check us out!

Group Purpose
Free and cheap non-raked, non-commercial poker games in private homes with chill beginner to intermediate level players. We're all about having affordable fun while playing cards and getting to know each other. Along the way we challenge ourselves and each other in good-natured ways while we learn different poker strategies and variants of the game (mostly Texas Holdem and its cousins like Pineapple, Crazy Pineapple, Burn 'em, and others). If you're looking for friends with a side of fun (or vice versa), while playing low stakes poker, you've found us!

*Angle shooting is not directly cheating but attempting to win (or not lose) a hand by manipulating the rules or the game play instead of by having the best hand or the highest bet. Example: a player seems to call by throwing a chip into the pot or saying the word "call," but then when they see they're beat claims they didn't mean to throw the chip in "It slipped," or claims "No, a minute ago you were joking that you were going to call your wife to ask if you could buy more chips. I was saying, 'Call', as in, 'Go ahead and call her.'" Come on; we all know that's not what you meant. Angle shooters won't be invited back because, even if it might win them a hand, it is likely to ruin the evening for the other player.
