Secular Humanists of the Lowcountry

Join your humanist friends at the Charleston Public Library, Main Branch (68 Calhoun St), for a group discussion about what we do now. There is no speaker, or pre-planned program. This will just be a group of concerned humanists getting together to support one another, and to discuss our feelings about the election, strategies for coping, and what we can do now to support democracy and defend the first amendment separation of church and state. Or talk about anything else participants feel like discussing.

We will be in Meeting Room B. Metered street parking is free on Sundays, and there is parking available in the garage under the library (garage closes at 5). If people want, we may go out for food and drinks afterward.

We are reading James: A Novel, by Percival Everett for our November book club meeting. The meeting will be held in Meeting Room B of the Main Public Library downtown. Note that we originally chose a different book, Progress and Poverty by Henry George for November, but decided it was not the best choice for our group.
