**Hiking and Sports Make You Happier**
This is a group for anyone interested in hiking, but also for those into kayaking, swimming or any other sports. All skill levels are welcome.
I am working in the financial field (like most people here), an expat who became a Luxembourger. Lived and worked in several countries.
I started this group to meet other outdoor or sports enthusiasts. I believe life is meant to be lived as an adventure - and I enjoy organising activities that make me, and the people participating, better.
I'm looking forward to exploring the wonderful nature of Luxembourg and its surroundings, or playing sports, with everybody.
Scientific research shows that happiness is not such an abstract concept. In fact, it is a practiced state of mind that can be acquired through simple things, like regularly walking in nature: “We observed behaviors of a large group, in which some chose to walk and some chose not to. NB: For transparency, to avoid spammers etc, a profile must have a genuine and reasonably clear picture of the participant (e.g. pictures from very far, with other people if that is confusing, or in which the face is not visible - are not suitable). Otherwise, the profile will be removed. Profiles with adequate pictures foster mutual trust among the members and show individual responsibility. Your picture may be needed for your own protection in case you get lost during the hike. This is a private group, meaning profiles are visible only for its members.
Also, always be respectful.
Organisers are spending their free time, resources and energy to make events happen. Disrespectful behaviours towards the event organiser will result in removal and ban from the group.
