Details

Kick back with women friends at Cafe Coda for soul, funk, jazz & music of the 60s & 70s. "Drawing upon a deep reservoir of grooving original compositions and colorful arrangements by artists like Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, and Marvin Gaye, Soul Impressions craft a unique sound that is highly personal, deeply expressive, and physically immersive. Atop an infectious rhythmic bedrock, elements of Motown, New Orleans funk, R&B, jazz, and retro soul and pop are fused to make for an exhilarating improvisational musical experience through the medium of the best Black American soul Music." - more at Cafe Coda Facebook Page

While free, please partake in happy hour specials or non-alcoholic beverages of your choosing. Seats are open and not held, so please arrive on time so we can pull chairs together, or get a table near the bar. As usual, Cheryl will wear a hat or oversized scarf, and meetup name tag, so you can find her. Cafe Coda is virtually across the street from the Willy Street Co-op and is one block southwest of the Williamson at S Baldwin bus stop (line "C") or two blocks northeast of Jenifer and Ingersoll (line 38 and "C").
