The Madrid Expats are made up of social butterflies, urban explorers, Hikers, Nature and Mountain Lover, music, outdoor enthusiasts, thrill seekers, creatives, foodies. We go for hiking every weekend only to the Mountains of Madrid and sometime we arrange picnics at local park in madrid, Where you can meet with locals and international people from round the world. Hiking Trial at Patones. At the North of Madrid, Patones de Ariba is famous for its black slate houses and winding streets and ruins of ancient shepherd's huts. we’ll visit the ancient hillside village with its characteristic black slate pavements and buildings full of history. This Beautiful town had its own King. we also recommend you this town for a Romantic lunch with your partner, because it has so many nice restaurants and they offer good Food.

By Bus: we are going by bus. meet us at intercambiador de plaza castilla ( underground bus station of plaza de Castilla) at 9:00am. For departure at 9:15 AM. Bus to Torrelaguna, Bus Number 197 Daresena 33 Nivel -1. One way cost 5,10€ and you pay to the bus driver. The bus does not accept card payment. Please bring change of 5€ or 10€. If you have abono joven then the bus trip is Free.By Cars:
You can Drive by car. Park your car in the center of torrelaguna. we will meet you at (Cafetería Bar Jor-Gon). it is next to our bus Stop at torrelaguna between 10:35 am Aprox. You can share your car with other people of the Group for fuel Contribution. For Sharing your car please leave your whatsapp number, Time, point of meeting in the comments of this Hike.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What to Bring:
Food: Lunch and snacks.
Water 1.5L: please bring enough water for yourself. warm Jacket, sun protection Cream, Summer cap ( on the back way the sun will be in front of us), Sun glasses.

3. All our hiking events are lead by experience hiking guide, who sets the pace of the group, stops, etc. The Guide have the Right to block the person from the Group in case of misbehave, bad vibes or messing with other members of the Group.

This is Our new Hiking trail, Which start from Pedrezuela town and ending at the beautiful Town Guadalix. 60% of our walk will be next to the water reservoir of both Towns. most of the way you will feel like walking on the beach. The paths are wide and covered by many kind of trees. Check fotos in description of this Trail.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Information and Technical Sheet of the Hike:
Difficulty: Medium Hard ( it is not that hard but long, that's why we consider it Medium Hard ).
Total Distance: 18Km.
Type of Route: one way.
Maximum altitude: 943m.
Elevation change: 282m.
Leaving Madrid: 09:40am

We are meeting at (Intercambiador de Plaza Castilla) underground Bus Station of Plaza de castilla.
Terminal -1, Dársena 36, Bus Number 193 (Bus to Pedrezuela) at 09:20AM for the 09:40AM departure.
One way cost 5,10€ and you pay to the bus driver. The bus does not accept card payment. You have to bring change of 5€ or 10€. If you have abono joven then the bus trip is Free.BY CAR: Sorry no Private cars this time because the start point and the end point of the hike are NOT the same.

New hiking trial at san juan. we will explore the stunning San Juan Reservoir which is often considered as Madrid´s main beach. The hike is ranked as Medium level, no longer than 8km and will mainly go alongside the reservoir coast line. Once we have set the picnic area, we will stay there during 2/3 hours while swimming, sunbathing and relaxing.Difficulty: Medium Level
Hike Type: Loop
Maximum altitude: 890m.
Elevation change: 350m.
Estimated Event Duration: 5-6 hours (depending on pace and stops)
Leaving Madrid: 9:15am
Coming back to Madrid: 18:00 or 19:00pm

By Bus: We are meeting at Intercambiador Principe Pío / underground Bus Station Principe Pío. Nivel/Level -2, Dársena/Platform 22 bus 551 at 9:00 am for 09:15 departure. Please be on time. you can reach to the undergroud bus station by merto line 6 or metro line 10.
in case you are coming by taxi to the bus station Principe Pío: **Google Maps **once you reach there please come down using the stairs to the under ground bus station level -2. then look for platform number 22 and bus number 551.
One way on the bus cost is 5,10€. Abono joven and people with Transport card C2 can travel for Free.
Please bring change or a 5€ or 10€ bill for the bus driver. Bus Driver not Accepting Card Payments, Only Cash.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What to Bring?
- Hiking shoes or sneakers. Trainers/tennis shoes are ok for this hike.
- A small backpack for your stuff
- 1,5L of water or other soft drinks per person. PLEASE DON´T BRING LESS, as there are no fountains nor any water point in the whole route. but you can buy water or drinks next to the picnic area.
- Your lunch
- Sunscreen & sunglasses
- A hat or a cap.
- A small sheet for setting at picnic spot, flip flop and swim kit.
