What we’re about
The Philadelphia Main Line Ukulele Group is one of the largest and most active ukulele groups in the country. Established in 2011 we have grown to over 800 members strong and have provided our members with, on average 20 opportunities per month to play ukulele in a group setting.
We have weekly jam sessions at multiple locations in the tri-state area and monthly jam sessions at our flagship locations, Steel City Coffee House, Green Fork Restaurant and Main Stage Center for the Arts. We also offer other opportunities each and every week to get together and jam with fellow ukulele players. The Philadelphia Main Line Ukulele Group also holds four "Premier Events" each year. Our Premier Events give members the opportunity to play in a festival like setting with, on average over 50 players all sharing the love that only the ukulele can bring!
Our group caters to beginners so if you're new to the uke please come to one of our events and let us help you start your journey. We play a wide variety of music from old standards from the 20's and 30's, Hawaiian Music, Classic Rock, Folk, Modern Pop, Country, Punk, Reggae and anything and everything else!
Hope to see you soon!

We’re a group of enthusiastic ukulele players learning and practicing music arranged for ukulele ensembles. The pieces and their individual parts can be played by folks with a range of ukulele playing ability. So please join us!
For now we are meeting every other week - watch this space to know when, as well as for information on the specific pieces we are working on at any given time! The materials we're using (plus a whole bunch of "bonus" materials) are available for viewing and downloading on our Google Drive page.
At this point we are working on a 3-ukulele arrangement of the famous traditional Hawai'ian song Aloha 'Oe. Other pieces we have recently worked on are Skye Boat Song as well as Pachelbel's Canon.
At each event, please try to arrive about 10 minutes before the starting time to set up so we can get started right away. At any rate, we will be happy for you to join us whenever you are able get there.
Please be sure to RSVP on this page if you're planning to attend. This helps us with our planning.
And please feel free to stay afterwards for our regular weekly uke jam from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the same location. Further details can be found on the West Chester Ukulele Group's separate event pages that are listed on the Philadelphia Main Line Ukulele Group's main page. Please RSVP there as well if you're staying for the uke jam so we know the number of chairs and song sheets to have ready. We really like to know that YOU are coming!
