What we’re about
We're a diverse and dedicated community of writers that meets up every second Sunday for a focused and inspiring writing session.
Our primary goal is to encourage consistent writing habits and to provide a space for exchange of advice and insights if and when you need it.
In our group, you can look forward to:
- A dedicated time slot to commit to your writing project(s): Whether you're in the early stages of drafting your novel, refining a series of poems, or even penning a screenplay, you'll have a set time to concentrate solely on your writing endeavors.
- A supportive community comprised of like-minded individuals: We foster a nurturing environment where writers can share their experiences, offer mutual support, and learn from each other, all while respecting individual paths and processes.
- The freedom to express yourself: Our sessions allow you to write what you want, at your own pace. You have complete control over your creativity, and there's absolutely no requirement to share your work unless you wish to do so.
Please note that while we aim to foster creativity and provide a supportive environment, the group is not a writing class. We aren't here to dictate how or what you should write.

FAQs
How do the meetups work?
- We gather together at a cafe and write for an hour. After that, we spend another hour chatting and discussing various writing-related topics.
Are the events free?
- Yes, the events and membership are free of charge.
What languages are the events held in?
- We're a diverse group of people from all over the globe, so we use English.
Do you always meet up in the same place?
- The current location (Cafe Buur) is convenient because it's quiet and allows for a larger group to occupy a space for two hours without blocking all available tables for other visitors. However, we're always open to suggestions!
Am I required to buy a fika at the cafe?
- It's not a requirement, but it's a show of goodwill towards the cafe owners.
Are you on any social media?
- We have an Instagram page, a WhatsApp group and a Discord group. Reach out to the group organizer Sara to be added to the latter two.
