Saturday, 21st June 2025, is the longest day and the first day of summer. Join Merseyside IVC for seven nights under canvas at Shell Island, from Sunday, 15th June and leaving on Sunday 22nd June 2025.

Shell Island is a remote, stunningly beautiful place, accessed by a tidal causeway. There is just one road, squeezed between Shell and the Rhinog Mountains. There are rolling sand dunes and a harbour, all to be experienced on 2025’s longest day. Lying on the Welsh coast between Harlech and Barmouth the facilities are excellent (hot showers, restaurant, pub, shops and laundrette).

Bring a tent, wine and walking boots. Stay for just as long as you wish.
