Join me for a walk of between 5 and 6 miles, mainly through the leafy streets of Altrincham and Bowdon but also taking in a mile or so through fields in the Bollin valley (could be muddy). No stiles, gentle gradients and mostly tarmac surfaces.
As we’re only a week away from the shortest day, this walk will start at the earlier time of **1pm**, from Stand E inside Altrincham Interchange, on Stamford New Road (WA14 1EN). There is plenty of parking (free on Sundays) at Oakfield Road car park behind the interchange.
No shortage of cafes to choose from after the walk.
