Start and end point the entrance to Heaton Park by the Heaton Park Metrolink stop, Bury Old Road. Prestwich M25 1JE.

3 mile sightseeing walk through Europe’s largest urban park on mainly tarmac/paved surfaces. Whilst an easy walk, there are some up and downs. Optional 1 mile extension through Hazlitt woods with stile and stoney path. Those wishing to miss out Hazlitt woods can continue to the Stables Café and wait for us there; this is by the animal centre. Returning from Hazlitt woods I intend to have a look round the animal centre, but not stop at the Stables Café, my planned stop is a little further into the walk at The Hidden Gem Café.
