Fairbrook Naze and the Snake Path from Birchin Clough Car Park

Details

We'll probably have to save the scramble up Fairbrook Clough for a longer and drier day but there is a more straightforward alternative that we shall use on this occasion. Tiniest bit of scrambling at the top then takes us onto the Edge to Ashop Head where we briefly meet the Pennine Way before bearing away from it and head downhill along the Snake Path back to the start.

Sadly we can't call in at the Snake Inn anymore which is now a private house but I am sure the Ladybower Inn will make us welcome if we want a bevy later.

Earlier than usual start as we don't want to come back in the dark!

Please take LOTS of pictures and upload them to this Meetup page so everyone can see how much fun you had.

Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be put on a lead near to livestock and should not bark or jump up incessantly.

Lift sharing is strongly encouraged, just leave a message below if offering or asking for a lift.

We do not wait for latecomers!

Meet: 9:15am for prompt 9:30am start.
