Churnet Valley Walk from Cheddleton
Details
If valleys could talk the Churnet Valley would have quite a tale to tell. Now most noted for it's heritage railway and of course Alton Towers it is a gold mine of industrial archeology bar none.
Our walk takes us from historic Cheddleton out across the Staffordshire Moorlands to Ipstones, down the Devils Staircase to the lovely Consall Woods and Nature Reserve through Consall itself and then back to the start. Possible pub stop part way and / or at the end of the walk.
Earlier than usual start still as we don't want to come back in the dark!
Please take LOTS of pictures and upload them to this Meetup page so everyone can see how much fun you had.
Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be put on a lead near to livestock and should not bark or jump up incessantly.
Lift sharing is strongly encouraged, just leave a message below if offering or asking for a lift.
We do not wait for latecomers!
