What we’re about
The Manitoba Women in Tech Meetup Group (#MBWiTech) is a fun, monthly get-together for women working in tech who enjoy networking with other supportive people who understand what it's like to work in the tech community.
The #MBWiTech Meetups are non-profit, agenda-free, and gender-inclusive. Together with our allies, we support each other, share experiences, applaud accomplishments, and promote tech activities in a safe and judgement-free environment.
We invite you to drop in and enjoy getting to know others who understand you: developers, designers, students, project managers, founders, and anyone else working within the tech sector.
We are a safe space for existing or aspiring tech professionals. Please take a moment to review our CODE OF CONDUCT before attending our events: https://bit.ly/3n8FHCD

WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?:
MBWiTech is for the community, by the community. Meetups are carefully curated to ensure the content is relevant and timely for our valued MBWiTech members.
MBWiTech is...
-- Cross-disciplinary; we encourage all those who work with technology to come together.
-- Packed with learning opportunities, advice about tech, new perspectives, best practices, solutions to HR and tech challenges, and designed to assist in achieving career goals.
-- Gender-inclusive; supporters and allies are encouraged to join us.
-- Unpretentious and judgement-free.
-- Facilitated by individuals who have been trained as Women-in-Tech Peer Supporters (i.e. we are here for you and happy to prompt interesting, useful conversation!)
-- Designed for socializing: meeting new friends, feeling human, connecting, sharing stories, and belonging.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WHEN SHOULD I ATTEND?:
Meetups occur on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
For the 2021/2022 season, we’re mixing things up and offering a variety of event formats (presentations, workshops, panel discussions + facilitated networking) at different times of the day.
Be sure to check this page each month for the next MBWiTech Meetup format and time!
