🗺️ In our hand-drawn maps tutorial, we'll create 3-dimensional polyhedral pseudo-globes. We'll provide templates for creating tetrahedrons, hexahedrons (cubes), octahedrons, and icosahedrons using only scissors, glue, paint (or markers/crayons/etc) and your imagination! We'll also provide ribbons so you can hang your hand-crafted holiday decoration anywhere you like! 🎨
📣 Once your artistic masterpiece is complete, we'll pose for a group photo, and will share it with all attendees!
🍻 Following the tutorial, we extend a warm welcome for you to stay and mingle with your fellow map enthusiasts. It's the perfect opportunity to indulge in spirited conversations about cartography, GIS, or any other topic that piques your interest. To make this post-tutorial gathering even more festive, we've got an ugly sweater competition lined up, so be sure to come with your most heinous winter apparel. ❄️
What to Bring
🏕️ We'll be crafting our three dimensional cartographic representations inside a heated, well-lit space in the Old Stove Gardens brewery, but we encourage you to bring your own scissors, glue, rulers, and any art supplies you might want to use to craft your cartographic masterpiece!
