About Mary Flower:
“A national treasure in your own back yard.” -Jorma Kaukonen
“A world class finger-style guitarist and lap slide player.” – Downbeat Magazine
Mary Flower is a renowned guitarist, with a broad stylistic range approaching that of David Bromberg or Ry Cooder. Her supple honey-and-whiskey voice provides the perfect melodic accompaniment to each song’s story. With immense finger picking guitar and lap-slide prowess, her playing is soulful and meter-perfect, a deft blend of the inventive, the dexterous and the mesmerizing. Based in Portland, Oregon, she tours relentlessly, performing at folk festivals, teaching seminars and concert stages domestically and abroad, including Merlefest, Kerrville, King Biscuit, Prairie Home Companion and the Vancouver Folk Festival, among many. She has released 10 CDs, and has received many awards including being named one of the best albums of the year by Downbeat Magazine.

About Suzy:
Suzy Thompson is a “musician’s musician” who plays fiddle and guitar alongside artists like Jim Kweskin, Geoff Muldaur, Del Rey, Ann Savoy, etc.
Her repertoire includes blues, Cajun and Old Time material. Suzy will also perform material from her upcoming “Suzy Sings Siebel” project, an album of songs by the great 70s singer-songwriter Paul Siebel (“Louise” is his most famous song.)
Suzy’s long musical journey dates from touring with British singer Frankie Armstrong when she was still in her teens. In her 20s, she was a founding member of Any Old Time String Band (their Arhoolie album is still in print) and Blue Flame String Band (highly regarded recording on Flying Fish). She has performed and recorded with banjo players Mac Benford (Backwoods Band) and Bill Evans (Bluegrass Intentions) and Cajun accordion legend Danny Poullard (California Cajun Orchestra, 2 award winning albums). More recent years have seen a landmark blues album with the Texas Sheiks (Geoff Muldaur, Jim Kweskin, Cindy Cashdollar et al), duets with resonator ukulele and guitar goddess Del Rey, and a recent collaboration with Cajun superstar Ann Savoy. Suzy also has recorded with Kathy Kallick and Laurie Lewis, Maria Muldaur, Country Joe McDonald, Darol Anger, Jody Stecher & Kate Brislin, Mary Flower, Alan Senauke, etc.
