Welcome to the Marxist and Feminist Reading Club! This group is dedicated to exploring and building our knowledge around Marxist and Feminist theories. Themes might include the history of capitalism and the family, gender, ideology, and subject formation, labour in and out of the home, etc. We will select a text before each meeting and come prepared to talk about them in a relaxed and safe environment. This is not meant to be a ‘classroom style’ environment but rather a community of readers who support each other’s’ learning journey. Together we will analyze, debate, critique, and push our thinking to grow our understanding. Whether you're an academic or just curious about these perspectives, all are welcome to join us for engaging discussions and thought-provoking readings. While no prior knowledge of these ideas is essential, it is important that readers come with a learning mindset and be willing to feel challenged. Let’s read, learn, and grow together!
