FREE! Sunday Group Walk at Olympus Park
Details
Please join us for this FREE GROUP WALK !
THIS IS NOT A CLASS! Your dog should be able to walk on a leash without losing his mind before you come. If you need virtual or in-person instruction on loose leash walking, contact Mary.
We promote desired behaviors using the Least Inhibitive Functionally Effective (LIFE) methods. We actively advocate for choice-based, force-free training and will not allow the use of any techniques, tools, or equipment whose purpose and/or intent is to interrupt or punish behavior by using fear, force, or pain (e.g., shock, prong, pinch, alpha-rolling, yelling, or leash corrections).
Wear comfy, waterproof shoes and plan to move! Please:
- Don't let your dog greet other dogs until it is mutually agreed upon AFTER the walk.
- Walk with sufficient space from other handlers.
- Start together and walk the same direction. Dogs that need space may parallel walk or station in the center of the park to watch the parade.
- Bring your gear with you such as water, bowl, poop bags, and treats.
- Picking up dog waste is non-negotiable. You have to.
- No choke chains or pinch collars. No shock collars. No retractable leashes. Be kind and considerate to all.
Sometimes people's dogs can be imperfect. Yours too. We do not tolerate trash talking other attendees or their dogs. If you have an issue, come talk to me in private about it.
Questions? Use the event communication.
Waiver: By participating in this walk, you release Mary Torrano Dog Training and its officers, agents, volunteers, and representatives from liability for any injury that you or your dog may sustain, including injuries caused by negligence. You release the cities of Roseville and Rocklin by your participation in this event.
