Join us for a 4.2 mi/- loop at Little Bennett Regional Park, Clarksburg, MD. We will hike through beautiful woods and we will cross over streams (using bridges of course :)

**START TIME**: 10:00 a.m. (We will leave the trailhead shortly after). Please text Barb at 301-514-3145 at if you are running late.
**MEET**: The parking lot is located off of Route 355. The trailhead parking lot is at 25801-25899 Prescot Rd Clarksburg, MD. GPS coordinates for the parking lot are 39.28143, -77.29515 this is the Dark Branch Trail Parking lot.

There is NO entrance fee.

**ROUTE/LENGTH/TERRAIN**: We will be taking the Sidewinder and Pine Grove to make a loop. The terrain on these two sections is relatively free of tree roots and rocks. The elevation gain is approximately 330 feet.

NOTE: This is a multi-use trail used by hikers, bicyclists, and horseback riders.
**ARE DOGS ALLOWED?** No dogs on this hike.
**BATHROOMS**: There is a porta-potty at the trailhead parking lot.
**PACE**: We will take it at a pace comfortable for everyone and breaks will be taken as needed.
**WHAT TO WEAR**: Wear breathable layered clothing, no cotton. Wear comfortable boots. No sandals.
**WHAT TO BRING**:
·At least 2-3 liters of water
·Snacks
·Basic first aid supplies \*\*
·Bio-break supplies to go in the woods. (This includes toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer, and a Ziploc bag to pack out paper.)
·Backpack
·Hiking poles for stability and comfort – always a good idea.

**INCLEMENT WEATHER/CANCELLATION PLAN**: If there is a reason to cancel the hike, then I will let you know the night before. Unexpected storms or weather systems can roll in unexpectedly, so please check MeetUp before coming to the hike for any last minute information.
