**Route/Length/Terrain:** This is a moderate 4 mile hike on grass and forested trails. There are two moderate ascents and descents. Optional: Lunch afterwards in Charles Town at Alfredo’s Mediterranean Grill.

**Start Time:** 9:30 AM - We will start down the trail shortly after. Text Barb if you are running late (301) 514-3145.
**Meet:** At the parking lot at Schoolhouse Ridge North. There is no parking fee. 874 Bakerton Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425

**Leave No Trace:** We follow Leave No Trace guidelines. Be prepared to pack out all your trash (including "natural" trash like apple cores)
**Bathrooms:** There is a bathroom at the parking lot.
**Pace:** We will take it at a pace comfortable to everyone and the group will stay together during the hike. Breaks will be taken as needed!
**Wear:** Breathable clothing, no cotton! Dress in layers as it’s hard to predict the weather this time of year. Wear sturdy shoes/hiking boots. Hiking poles for stability are always a good idea!
**Bring:**
**REQUIRED:** At least 2 liters of water and snacks. Have supplies to go to the bathroom in the woods. This includes toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer, and a ziploc to pack out paper.

**Are dogs allowed?** No dogs please.
**Inclement weather/cancellation plan:** If there is reason to cancel the hike, then I will let you know by Thursday night. However, unexpected storms can roll in so check MeetUp before coming to the hike for any last-minute info.
