**If you are bringing a Guest:** Comment below with your guest’s name. They must complete the waiver (link above) to attend.

**Route/Length/Terrain:** The trails are mostly single track with some roots/rocks. We will have multiple short climbs and descents while hiking through hardwood forests and meadows. There will be a few creek crossings. We will have numerous views of the Big Elk Creek.

**Start Time:** 9AM - We will start down the trail shortly after. Text Kelly at 443-350-2429 if you are running late.

**Fee:** If you do not have a MD State Park Pass, the fee is $3 for in-state, $5 for out-of-state vehicles

**Trash/Waste:** We follow Leave No Trace guidelines regarding trash. Be prepared to pack out all your trash (including "natural" trash like apple cores). If you find trash and have the means to pack it out, please do so

**Bathrooms:** There is a port-o-pot in the parking lot.

**Pace:** We will take it at a pace comfortable to everyone and the group will stay together during the hike. Breaks will be taken as needed!

**Wear:** Layered breathable clothing, no cotton! Wear sturdy shoes/hiking boots. Hiking poles for stability are always a good idea!

**Bring:**
**REQUIRED:** At least 2 liters of water and snacks. Have supplies to go to the bathroom in the woods. This includes toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer, and a ziploc to pack out paper.

**Are dogs allowed?** Friendly, leashed canine companions are welcome. You are responsible for cleaning up and carrying out your pup’s waste. Bring extra water for your dog.

**Inclement weather/cancellation plan:** If there is a reason to cancel, I will let you know the night before the event. But, the unexpected does happen so check MeetUp before coming to the hike for any last-minute info.
