**Route/Length/Terrain:** This 4.4 mile hike has some rolling terrain and a few short uphill sections. We will have a few river views as we hike. This is an out-and-back with 2.2 in each direction.

***Trigger Warning:*** It is possible to hear firing in the distance as it is hunting season\*.\*

**Start Time:** 1:00 PM - We will start down the trail shortly after. Text Kate at 609-937-9455 if you are running late. NOTE! There may be limited cell service in the park.

**No Entry Fee.**

**Leave No Trace:** We follow Leave No Trace guidelines. Be prepared to pack out all your trash (including "natural" trash like apple cores).

**Bathrooms:** There are none, so be prepared to go in the woods if needed.

**Pace:** We will take it at a pace comfortable to everyone, and the group will stay together during the hike. Breaks will be taken as needed!

**What To Wear:** BRIGHT COLORS as it is hunting season. Breathable clothing, layers for warmth, no cotton! Wear sturdy shoes/hiking boots. Hiking poles for stability is always a good idea!

**Bring:**
REQUIRED: At least 2 - 3 liters of water and snacks. Supplies to go to the bathroom in the woods (TP, trowel, hand sanitizer, and a Ziploc to pack out paper)

**Are dogs allowed?** Friendly, leashed canine companions are welcome. You are responsible for packing out any dog poo and properly hydrating your pup. Be aware these trails are also open to bikes and equestrians.

**Inclement weather/cancellation plan:** Trails there close if muddy. If there is a reason to cancel the hike, I will let you know. However, as unexpected storms can roll in, so check MeetUp before coming to the hike for any last-minute info about the hike.

**CONSEQUENCES OF A NO SHOW -** To accommodate all, Trail Dames has a 3-strikes-you-are-out policy for NO SHOWS. Please ensure your RSVP is accurate at least 24 hours before the event starts. If there is a same-day emergency, send me a text message!

**COVID-19 ADDENDUM**
\*National Guidelines are non-negotiable and apply to every chapter.
\*All local laws regarding social distancing, group size, mask usage and other COVID-19 issues must be followed and supersede anything that Trail Dames might impose.
\*We strongly recommend that un-vaccinated Dames continue to wear masks when social distancing is not possible.
\*Carpooling is discouraged unless all attendees are vaccinated; mask-wearing and adequate ventilation are strongly encouraged when carpooling, regardless of vaccination status.
\*There is no official limitation on group size; group size is up to the discretion of the Head Dames/Hike Leaders.
\*Post-hike gatherings and social events are no longer prohibited. Head Dames and Hike Leaders should consider the vaccination status of their group and local status when planning such activities. Ideally, such activities should take place outdoors or in well-ventilated spaces where social distancing is possible.
