Are we Gilgamesh?

January's topic will be conducted by Bro. Danielle Slack in a study of Freemasonry discussing the question: "Are we Gilgamesh?"

Synopsis:
This presentation examines The Epic of Gilgamesh as one of the earliest stories to outline a hero's journey. By exploring Gilgamesh's trials, relationships, and transformations, we’ll uncover the themes that shaped the hero archetype in literature. From his beginnings as a tyrannical ruler to his growth through friendship, loss, and the quest for immortality, Gilgamesh’s story reveals lasting truths about the human experience.
