What we’re about

If you are interested in getting together for a bite to eat, bowling, a hike, or just plain having fun then join us in creating a diverse community of friends.

Please be aware of our community standards:

  1. We welcome any and all individuals regardless of creed, color, age, race, religion, sexual orientation and the like. This group is a safe space. If you have been receiving any negative reactions/comments from anyone then please notify one of the organizers.

  2. This IS a SOCIAL group, NOT one for NETWORKING. There are plenty of other groups that are focused on that. This is not one of them.

  3. This group will be limited to 150 people in order to create a close-knit community. There will be a waitlist for all those who are 151+. When a member is removed or leaves the group, the waitlist will be utilized.

  4. Harassment, ridicule, fighting, arguing and any other actions degrading another in any form will NOT be tolerated. First offense is a warning. Then, if found partaking in the same action, permanent dismissal from the group.

  5. Be on time for events. If you know you're going to be late, please message the organizer or leave a note on the event's comments section. Some events, like tours or shows, have a set time and we will proceed as planned. Otherwise, organizers will do their best to wait for you so you're not left behind.
In the same vein, organizers take a lot of time out of their scheduling to create an event that'll be fun and engaging. We expect members to do their part and RSVP correctly. Anyone who has accumulated 3 no-shows and no follow up reasoning will be excused from the group. Most events have an RSVP deadline, so please be aware of any changes you may have in your schedule and update your RSVP accordingly.

  6. Anyone suspected to be under the influence of excess drugs or alcohol will be asked to leave. Even if there's an event that may involve alcohol, such as going to a brewery, know your limits. We are all adults here so conduct yourself in an orderly manner.

  7. You MUST provide a clear profile picture of yourself. If the picture is of you in a group, then distinguish who you are in it. You'll be asked once to update your picture if there is none, and you'll have a week to do so. After that if no update has been done, you'll be excused from the group.

  8. As of January 1, 2024 if you do not attend an event within 3 months, you will be dropped from the group. The organizers do their best to host many different options for every level of fitness, interests, etc. There is something for everyone to at least try once.

  9. We as organizers welcome any new event ideas! Please send an organizer a message and we'll do the best we can to work with you to make it happen. If you think you'd like to host an event, you first must attend at least 2 events and meet an organizer to discuss your plan.

  10. We typically do not accept members who live beyond a 25-mile radius from Mebane. This is simply because we have found that folks living beyond that mileage do not attend and they're taking up a membership slot in the group for someone who wants to join who lives closer.

If you're not yet a member of this group but would like to be, do be sure to check your messages within 3 days of asking to join; the organizers may have further questions. If you don't respond within that timeframe, your membership will be declined. We look for people who are serious about being a part of this group.

    LET'S HAVE FUN!!
