We all know that stressing out just makes things worse. And yet, we often feel like there is no other choice than to stress and worry about the difficulties and pressures we face in our lives.
According to Buddha, stress does not come from external situations but rather from our response to them. In other words, stress comes from our mind. By learning how to let go of a stressed mind and cultivate a clear and peaceful one, we are able to respond to problems differently, in a more centred, flexible and effective way.
In this half-day course, Kelsang Lachpa will guide us in simple meditations which swiftly attain a peaceful, clear mind. By sharing Buddha’s profound insights into the mind, he will then reveal the source of a stress response and how, by gaining a new perspective on our difficulties, we can respond skillfully and peacefully.

Kelsang Lachpa is a Buddhist monk and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Auckland. He has been ordained for over twelve years. He is an experienced and warm-hearted teacher, inspiring others to find lasting peace and happiness through the practice of meditation and Buddhism. Lachpa is known for his thoughtful insights into Buddha’s teachings and his joyful practical approach to teaching.
