8 Week Meditation Series in Haddington - FREE

Details

Come and join our Autumn Series of Meditation Classes.
Each week we will explore different aspects of this powerful tradition.

6.45pm
We start promptly at 7pm. In fact due to a logistics issue with the building I'm afraid we close the doors at 7pm and there's no way to let late-comers in. So, please give yourself plenty of time to get there. You can always start the meditation early in the chairs provided.

Traffic is often worse than you might plan for, and parking is possible but not always immediately outside the Lamp of Lothian buildings.

The Lamp of Lothian Trust buildings are at 11 Poldrate, in Haddington.

Open To All - No Experience Required
If you are considering meditation for the first time it is likely you are looking for some relief from the sometimes overwhelming daily life. We can help.

However, meditation is really a lot more than just finding a relaxing break from our stressful existence. It consists of many different exercises that help us understand and manage our relationship with the mind and with our reactions to what happens to us.

It is extremely easy to learn. We will teach you what meditation is and how to do it in less than a minute. A minute later and you will be meditating.

30 Years Experience - please come along.
Even if you've been meditating for decades there is always more to discover about the ephemeral nature of mind and we invite you to join us.

What Type of Meditation is it? Is this Religious? What Tradition are you covering?
We have a slightly different approach than most meditation schools.

For one thing we aren't fixated on one technique or philosophy. We will introduce many different styles from a variety of traditions in order to help you find what works for you.

For another thing we aren't just going to give you a technique and then hope you figure it out. We're going to explore exactly what we're trying to do in meditation, and perhaps more importantly, why we're doing it.

The real goal is not to try to become a great meditator. It is to learn how the techniques of meditation can help you live a more fulfilling life. It might seem like a grandiose and ridiculous promise, but learning this ancient and simple practice can improve every single aspect of your life. And it's FREE.
