Welcome to Meeple of Reading!
We're a "new but old" group who have been gaming at Reading Ukrainian Community Centre (RUCC) regularly on Thursday nights from 8pm - 11 pm since the 1980's and is now hosted by Kev Tombeur.
RUCC has existed as a community hub since 1969 & is currently supporting displaced families following Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, as well as providing humanitarian & medical aid to Ukraine.
Our new chairman, Peter Andrijeczko, started his tabletop gaming life playing First Edition Dungeons & Dragons at school back around 1974 and has been an avid gamer ever since, including having his own small gaming group that meets on Wednesday evenings.
For 2024, we are kicking off with monthly gaming sessions on Saturdays from 6pm - 11pm but, depending on demand, we may run more regular sessions every other Saturday.
Peter considers Meeple of Reading as a "spin-off" from Meeple of Basingstoke who are themselves going strong under the careful organisation of Mark Thomas & Martin Collis.
