Even wonder how well you would do in a zombie apocalypse? Can you evade the undead? Find weapons, food, medicine, supplies? Well here is your chance to test your mettle.
Project Zomboid is the ultimate zombie survival game(imho). It has a massive map and a ton of different mechanics. Do you want to kill zombies? Lots of ways to do it. Bash them with a bat. Chop them with an ax. Slice them, shoot them, run them over. All kinds of different options. Can you handle just one at a time or do you have the skill to wipe out a horde of fifty?
Or do you want to play as a scavenger who checks out the thousands and thousands of buildings in the game. The map has multiple places. Little dinky town Dixie all the way to heavily infested Louisville (game is based in Kentucky). So many places to explore. Hotwire a car and hit the road and find what surprises (and horrible deaths) await.
Play as a base builder (my favorite). Find a building or make your own if you have the skill. Hook it up with running water and electricity. Decorate it. Fill it with supplies. Barricade it against wandering zombies that will eventually find it. Build a home to be your safe place during end of the world.
And there is also crafting, hunting, fishing, trapping, foraging...all kinds of different ways to spend time. And so many different types of items and clothes and gear (some everywhere, some insanely difficult to find).
To play you will need to go to Steam and get the game. I think it is like $13 right now. Get in and do the tutorial and get a feeling for the game and then contact me and I can share the login details. And on Sunday afternoons I will be sure to log in to help people out or go on runs or rescue missions or whatever. I will be building a base in Muldraugh that players can rest in or restock supplies. I got a fresh server for this and can host 16 at a time if we get that many interested.
