East Bay Square Dance with live music by Vortex Willy, Berkeley CA

Michelle Yu and Vortex Willy take the stage for our next East Bay Square Dance at the Hillside Club! With caller Nina Berry! Beginners welcome!

Doors open: 7:45 pm
Square dancing: 8:00-10:00 pm

Caller Nina Berry teaches each dance right before we dance it. No experience necessary, no partner necessary. Kids are welcome. Bring your friends!

This is a queer-friendly event where everyone can dance any role. Nina refers to the two dance roles as "owls" and "birdies."

All the way from Sebastopol and Graton, our old-time band for the evening is Vortex Willy! Featuring: Chris Sallstrom (bass), Jesse Fichman (banjo), David Thiessen (guitar), Emma Grant-Dreher (fiddle), Michelle Yu (fiddle).
