The 5.8-mile out-and-back Strickler Knob hike is a challenging rock scramble with a beautiful 360-degree view from the summit. There are a couple different routes to Strickler Knob; we'll do the one described on Hiking Upward (https://www.hikingupward.com/GWNF/StricklerKnob/).

This is probably not a great hike for beginners. The rock scramble is difficult and requires some hand-over-hand climbing. Please keep that and your own fitness in mind when deciding whether to join us for this event.

We'll get an early start because parking is very limited (probably only room for about 6 cars). I strongly recommend carpooling if you can. I can take 3 people from the Fairfax area.
