This has been a tradition in my family to go to the forest and harvest our own tree.

The province allows one tree per family to be harvested from the Provincial Forest. Not to worry if done correctly it thins out the understory, reduces competition and is over all a healthy process.

We will meet at Tim Hortons at Lawson and from there head up towards Macdowell. From there we may head into the area South of the South Parking Lot and selectively harvest our trees.

We won’t be crowning trees nor taking anything over 2m high.

As your host I will also with your permission make sure the trees we take are done so sustainably. So cutting 5 trees within a few meter may not be the best

Once we have the trees loaded onto sleds. I think a fire a smokies and hot chocolate or whatever beverage in moderation you choose. The back out to the cars and home.
