Chapter 2: A Good Daughter’s Entrepreneurial Journey From Brampton to the World
Speaker: Charlene Nadalin
In an inspiring tale of determination and love, Charlene Nadalin embarked on her entrepreneurial journey not for financial gain, but to create a meaningful solution for her aging mother. Starting her career in the bustling world of advertising sales for a bilingual magazine, Charlene quickly climbed the corporate ladder, eventually becoming Executive VP of Sales & Marketing for a major firm. However, the call to entrepreneurship lingered in her heart, fueled by her upbringing in a family of entrepreneurs. When her mother, widowed and feeling isolated, became the catalyst for change, Charlene seized the moment. In 2013, she founded Amintro, a groundbreaking friendship app designed for adults over 50, launched in 2018. This community, born from personal struggle, blossomed into a supportive network for older adults across North America, addressing the needs of family caregivers and those they care for. Charlene’s journey exemplifies how love can inspire innovation, creating a vibrant space for connection and support, and ensuring families can thrive together, no matter their challenges. Amintro has now expanded into introducing a new innovative approach to peer support & resources for those taking care of and looking out for the elderly. This new service “Amintro Family” aims to create a network of people who can help including those who are in the same or similar situation you are in, fostering a collective and safe environment to anyone who is in need.
