TBT: wheww chile! Who remembers watching this movie at a young age and not fully understanding what each journey was telling us? What the TITLE was telling us? This movie brought issues into light that women have gone through for years (failed marriages,finding love,raising kids,loving a man that doesn’t belong to you,finding yourself,learning to reestablish a new life.and the list goes on) but one thing for certain and two things for sure THIS sisterhood never broke!! Even when Bearnie (Angela Bassett) was about to call her husbands mistress during their girls night out Gloria (Loretta Devine) snatched the phone and said “it’s stupid and it’s childish” she was holding her friend accountable! She wasn’t on the bandwagon of harassing and playing games she wanted her friend to know SHE was in the wrong during that moment. How many of us truly have ppl in our lives to hold us accountable and redirect us when we are about to make a wrong decision? As a grown woman now this movie has taught me things I definitely didn’t know about back then. This will forever be in my movie collection because it showed me the true bond women can have and learn from one another.💜
