It's time for the December jazz jam at Odd Colony. I assume there will be plenty of holiday music this month, and with Thanksgiving over, those that celebrate are "officially" able to dress in something Christmas-y and Jolly!
If this is your first Jazz Jam, here's how it works: there is a house band that will play a few songs to warm up the crowd, then musicians and singers are encouraged to come up to jam with the band to a song they have selected from the band's catalog (there is a sign up sheet, and it fills up quickly). So, if you're a musician or singer, here's your chance to come jam with a full band of talented musicians. If you're a spectator (like me!), it's a wonderful show with some great beer.
Admission is by donation. The show is free, but your donations help Jazz Pensacola keep the jazz spirit alive by planning these community events and the annual jazz festival. https://www.jazzpensacola.com
Food and drink: It's at a brewery so there will be great beer, of course. I think there is wine and possibly kombucha. There is a food truck outside on a rotating schedule so it's unknown which will be there, but they are all good.
Hope to see you there!
