French Talk : Practice French with Speakers from Around the World

If you are a native French speaker: we kindly ask you not to join, as space is limited and our focus is assisting learners.

This is a free in-person event in Montreal.
No registration elsewhere is required.

These Saturday mornings in-person meetings will be paused in mid-December 2024, as I will probably be overseas in Q1 2024.
They will resume in April 2025.

Since March 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching French to 520 students from many countries, delivering more than 3,700 French lessons, online.

Whether you're just starting out or you’re already fluent, this is a fun and relaxed way to practice and improve your French.

We’ll spend 90 minutes, having a group conversation, in person, at a cozy vegetarian restaurant in Montreal.

You are welcome to enjoy the restaurant's food or drinks before, during, or after the event. While it’s not mandatory to make a purchase, it’s a nice gesture to support the venue. If you’re not hungry, a coffee or something small would be appreciated.

How to Find Us : The restaurant is located a few minutes north of the Berri metro station on Saint-Denis Street. We meet every Saturday at 11 am (when the restaurant opens). Once inside, head downstairs, and you’ll find us at one of the large tables.

Disclosure : We earn no commision from the restaurant, and we have no financial incentive to use this particular venue. We hold events there because it is near two metro stations (Berri-UQAM and Sherbrooke), it's spacious inside, the food is delicious and healthy, and the atmosphere is great and relaxed.

A Note on Attendance:

One common issue with Meetup events is no-shows. This prevents others from joining, as space is limited to a small number of participants.

If you RSVP and don’t attend without canceling, you will be removed from future events in order to prioritize those who actively participate.
