What we’re about
This group is a queer-focused romance book club. We will be reading romance books that center queer characters and/or are written by queer authors. Then, we will gather, discuss and socialize. If you like to read (any genre) and want to add more queer romance novels to your catalogue, this will be the group for you! We’re looking for some like-minded readers to have a good time and create an inclusive space.
Started by two friends that love romance novels and want to read more LGBTQ+ romance books.
There are currently no dues, and we aren’t affiliated with any organizations. Just two romance readers wanting to meet people!

See all- Booksgiving & Book Caucus!! (AKA the best party of the year)Marylee’s house , Pittsburgh , PA
It's time for the best party of the year, and we're making it even better by adding book caucus! There's going to be a lot of info below, so please read through it. Also for the book caucus this year, we are asking that you please put your suggestions into this Google Form. Alyssa made it so we can have a virtual participation option for our friends who can't join in person.
This is a potluck, so please bring something to share. Please put what dish/drink/whatever you're bringing on this Google Sheet. Please list allergens when putting the food out at the party!
Booksgiving: 2-4pm
We're going to start with Booksgiving. What is booksgiving? It’s a white elephant meets blind date with a book. The concept is (hopefully) pretty simple: Choose a book (from your shelves, a used bookstore or anywhere books can be found) and wrap it. On the wrapping paper itself or on an attached tag, write the main tropes/description points — don’t write the title or the author or any identifying words! Pair this book with a consumable (bottle of wine, a soda, a snack, etc.) The book doesn’t have to be romance, just one you think someone else will enjoy. Then it’s white elephant rules until all the books have new homes.Book Caucus: 5-7pm
This is how we pick books for the upcoming clubs. And, it's super fun! You'll bring forward a romance or one of our non-romance-romance book (or two or three), and then suggest it to the group. You don't need to have read the book to suggest it, but you do need to know some details about the book. Also, please be prepared to read the book description out loud. You will need to know several details about the book before presenting it, so please fill out the Google Form before the caucus. For any folks who can't make the caucus or need to leave early, we will be voting via ranked choice online. We will post a voting link in our Slack's general channel around 6:30pm-ish (please keep an eye out for the link), and then voting will last for about 10 minutes.Look forward to a day full of books!
