What we’re about
Our FMF group was founded a year or so before Covid. First & foremost, our group is about making new friends & having fun with our current friends. This is a singles group with an age range of 45 & older. While we are a singles group, we have a few married couples who were part of a previous group as singles, who were grandfathered in. Currently our annual dues are $10. Dues allow us to not only pay the annual fee to Meetup to use their app, but they also fund our Derby, Anniversary, & X-mas parties, etc.
Member requirements are: A full facial photograph with no sunglasses & with first full name & last name initial on the profile, & residence in the Greater Louisville or Southern Indiana areas. We expect members to be courteous & respectful to other members.
Some of our activities are watching sports events at a sports bar, Coffee & Conversation, Monthly Birthday Dinners, & special event parties. We may have a Thanksgiving gathering, a Labor Day cookout, do Dinner & a Movie, Concerts & wineries, walks in parks or the Big Four Bridge, dinners at local restaurants, walking tours of Cave Hill Cemetery, or anything that a host wants to do. Members can join our Facebook page & are encouraged to let us know of any ideas they may have for an event.
