What we’re about
MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to create a welcoming, fun, and inclusive space for mommas and tots to meet, play, and love.
VISION
Our vision is to be a place for mommas in the Triangle to find support and friendship.
WHO WE ARE
We’re a group of mommas who are passionate about supporting each other through life’s many twists and turns, while providing our children with a happy, warm, and safe place to play and thrive.
Welcome to Meet. Play. Love.
We want to be fully transparent about our vision for the group, various roles, and the financial plan for member dues.
Meet. Play. Love. is made possible because of the time and energy of our members, including the efforts of the leaders. The roles of the leaders are voluntary and not paid, and are there to serve the good of the group. Here is a list of all the roles and their responsibilities.
Event Host
We encourage all members to host. Our goal is to have 2+ events each day. Ideally this will eliminate (or at least reduce) waitlists. It also gives members options to choose which play date works best for their family that day. If you would like to host please reach out. We can even share event ideas if needed.

Care Team

Lead by Briley Vickery, Jenny Greer, Honor Smith and Kristin Miller
Accounting
Manage member dues, create/manage budget, share bi-annual financial report.
Lead by Kate Wunderink, Honor Smith and Cassie Harvey
We appreciate your trust and ensure we will be fully transparent in every area.
In keeping with that our accounting team has set up a separate banking account for Meet. Play. Love. Membership dues go directly into and are held in that account.
Meetup charges a startup fee. That fee increases as we gain more members. The remaining balance will remain in the Meet. Play. Love. bank account. We have some ideas for the remaining funds including but not limited to parties and member celebrations. We will share annual reports for full transparency on where your dues are being spent.
We look forward to seeing you at events. We encourage you to host. Most importantly we are excited for this group to serve our community.
ATTENDANCE/WAITLIST
We aim to offer a variety of events, some have uncapped attendance while others have capacity restraints due to supplies, logistics and/or business partnerships. If there is a waitlist for an event you want to attend, join the waitlist. Often things happen, people can no longer attend and many on the waitlist are able to attend.
If you are on a waitlist for an event and then make other plans or realize you could no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist as soon as possible. This allows those on the waitlist the chance to plan accordingly and attend.
SICK POLICY
For the health and safety of our members and their children, please refrain from attending any Meet. Play. Love. events if you or any member of your household are presenting any of the following symptoms within 24 hours of the event:
-A temperature of 100 degrees or higher (before fever-reducing medication)
-Diarrhea or vomiting
-A (new or contagious) rash
-Runny nose
-Sore throat
-Discharge from eyes or ears
-Lice
COVID RESPONSE POLICY
Meet.Play.Love’s response to COVID-19 within the group is focused on the safety of our members and their children. The primary goals are to protect public health and member identities.
If you or any member of your household attend an event and then test positive for Covid, we ask that you immediately notify a member of leadership so that we can then notify other members of potential risk. You and your children's identity will be kept confidential.
In the event of a positive Covid case, the leadership team will:
* Notify potentially exposed members directly. [Potentially exposed members include those who have attended any event the Covid positive individual has also attended within five days preceding the positive Covid case.
To the best of our ability we follow the WPCSS policy:
Exposed to someone with COVID-19
•Quarantine (stay away from others) for 5 days
•Must continue to wear a mask when returning from 5-day quarantine
•If unable to wear a mask, must stay home for an additional 5 days
