What we’re about
Pantheism, according to the Britannica,
is the doctrine that the universe conceived of as a whole is God and, conversely, that there is no God but the combined substance, forces, and laws that are manifested in the existing universe.
The Marriam-Webster dictionary defines it as a doctrine that equates God with the forces and laws of the universe.
And according to Wiki, it is
the philosophical religious belief that reality, the universe, the cosmos, and nature are identical to divinity and a supreme being or entity.
Pantheism is to me, however, always a part of my being and first became concretised in these words -
What if our religion
was each other?
If our practice,
was our life?
If prayer - our words?
What if the Temple was the Earth,
the forests our church,
the holy water - our rivers, lakes and oceans?
What if meditation
was our relationships,
if the Teacher was Life,
If wisdom was self knowledge,
if Love was the centre of our being?
I realise, with time, that there are others to whom Pantheism resonates.
This meetup group is thus, that calling.
