My approach is to involve you from the beginning into the sailing independent of if you are experienced or not
I want to introduce you to the beauty of the sport with low hurdles
No memberships ,lengthy meetings and very reasonable costs,
the experience is a combination of a social and culinary as well as active event and you get great photographs as a memory of the event including portraits that I do myself upon request and with prior consent
Sailing usually starts from Meilen on a 25 feet sailboat suited for 6 persons
We sail in dry weather only
Sailing :The wind is hard to forecast prepare for the fact that they may be no wind , wind predictions aren't working in Zurich most times there are local thermical winds ...embrace the fact that the boat outings are a fun time socializing ,swimming , drinking some prosecco ,taking sunset pictures and if it's windy ,that's a bonus!

This is not a guided sailing cruise for tourists.
This is not a sailing course. Don't sign up for it if you expect to get a sailing course. However beginners and novices are welcome and will be taken care of.
Text me on 0788685921 as soon as you signed up.. Members who are not responsive and not texting me proactively after sign up and are blocking spaces will be automatically moved to waiting list and if repeated eventually will be blocked. There are long waiting lists and I want to give everyone a fair chance to have a go so thanks for your understanding.
Kindly note the meet-up sign-up is no confirmed attendance. You are confirmed only once you were invited and have joined the event specific WhatsApp group.
No experience or equipment needed.
What to bring :
Please wear sport shoes with white or non marking soles. Please bring your own water and a reusable cup. Dress according to the temperatures. We recommend multiple layers and a jacket against wind/rain. Outdoor/ hiking wear is usually just right. Sunscreen, hats, sunglasses etc. Bring a towel for backup and dry of seats. There's a bathing ladder so if you want to have a refreshing dive into the lake bring bathing clothes. Gloves can be handy, don't have to be sailing gloves bicycle or fitness gloves are OK.
Cost for boat rental is distributed between the participants
Approximately average of 40 chf to 60 CHF per person and trip depending on number of participants and hours on the boat
Weather and cancelation
We always go out also if there is no wind in the forecast
The wind in Zurich is hard to forecast and sailing is possible also with low wind
We also swim from the boat if conditions allow and the skipper usually brings some free beers and wine and snacks on board if convenient
The event will be canceled in case of constant rain and or thunderstorms.
In case you can not make it, I expect your cancelation as early as possible but at the least 1 day before to give other members a fair chance to jump on board.
Payment: You pay after sailing
Pictures: By participating you automatically consent to the use of pictures for social media.
In case you don't want to be photographed kindly let me know.
About the skipper:
Milan is a German national based in Switzerland since 2009 and is a hospitality management professional. Your skipper has the D License for Swiss lakes as well as the RYA Day Skipper certificate
Apart from the skipper there should also always be at least one other non beginner on board.
Repeaters may therefore be given priority for attendance.
