You and your family are invited to a festive celebration of friendship, gaming, and Christmas!
We're starting earlier in the night (5:00pm), and there will be dinner food available (feel free to bring a dish you enjoy to share--or don't!). Some extra activities will also be going on, such as:
- White Elephant Gift Exchange: do not feel pressure to participate, but if you enjoy this sort of thing, bring anything interesting that has been collecting dust around your house or a neglected shelf of your local dollar store. A short game will facilitate the (un)fair swapping of trinkets.
- Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest: go for in style, out of style, cringey, festive, or niche, as long as it's family friendly.
- Christmas Goodie Bake-off: Anything tasty and seasonally appropriate (loosely interpreted) can be entered into the contest.
- Possible Movie Showing: We're not fully committed to this, but we might put some Christmas movies on in one of the rooms just for some seasonal nostalgia.
- Possible Video Gaming: Another up-in-the-air idea...we might set up a console for some mario kart or what-have-you.
Anonymous voting will determine the Best (worst?) Dressed and the Best Baker of the night. There will be (nice) prizes for the winners!
As usual, there will be plenty of board gaming, chit-chat, rabble rousing, jollity, hi-jinx, ballyhoo, etc etc, as you are all likely accustomed to.
