What we’re about
Hello!
I’m Abu Bakar, a product manager at a fast-paced SaaS company. Like many of you, I spend a lot of time navigating tech challenges and solving business problems. Back in June 2024, while visiting New York, I had the opportunity to participate in a lunchtime “walk in the park” with a group of tech enthusiasts at Central Park.
It was a simple yet powerful concept—taking a break from the hustle and bustle of the day to engage in meaningful conversations about technology and innovation. I found it to be a refreshing way to step outside the usual work routine and connect with others in a relaxed setting.
After returning to Singapore, I realized that similar informal meetups during lunch breaks were missing here. So, I decided to change that—and that’s why I’m launching this initiative!
Why not make our lunch breaks more productive and inspiring? Whether you’re interested in discussing the latest tech trends, brainstorming startup ideas, or simply meeting new people in the industry, this is the perfect chance to do so. We’ll take a short walk, chat about what’s happening in the tech world, and hopefully spark some great ideas along the way.
We’ll be meeting at Marina Bay Sands MRT, and I’ll be easy to spot in a “Sell & Chill” shirt. Feel free to bring your own water bottles. During the walk, you’ll be encouraged to pair up or form small groups for short, focused discussions lasting around 15 minutes before switching partners or groups. It’s a great way to meet multiple people and exchange different ideas in a relaxed, informal setting.
I’m excited to meet you all and can’t wait to see what connections and conversations come from this. Let’s make the most of our lunch breaks and turn them into something productive and energizing!
Looking forward to meeting you there!
