What we’re about
Are you finding it hard to make friends as an adult? Are your other friends too busy to hang out like they used to? Did you move away from your other friends? Do you just want a few close girlfriends who you can call up on a whim and go hang out with, without having to make a big deal about it? Then this group is for you!
This is the group you’ve been looking for if:
- You identify as female and are between 35-49 years old
- You live within a 30 minute radius of Huntington Beach, CA
- You have your COVID vaccines
- You want to commit to at least one meetup event a quarter
- You want to see some of the same girls again and again so you can form lasting friendships
Events include things like:
- Watching a weekly reality tv show (I know this sounds random but this is how I made some of my best friends though a Pasadena meetup. We didn’t take it seriously and having something that you knew was coming up each week meant that we saw the same girls time and again and really got to know each other.)
- Walking our dogs at local parks
- Grabbing some food, coffee, or boba
- Board game nights
- Attending arts and craft fairs
- Going to see live theatre
- etc.
The goal is to keep the events small-ish so that we really get to know one another. Most events will have head count limits so while things obviously come up, it’s important that if you tell us you’re coming, you pencil it in on your calendar and do your best to stick to it. (Ladies who cancel last minute multiple times will be removed as this group is for people who seriously want to form meaningful friendships and who we can count on.)
So, who’s hosting this meetup anyway?! Hi! I’m Charlotte. I’m 42 (man, I don’t feel that old!) and I live on the Huntington Beach / Westminster border with my Husband and dog, Piper. I’m a graduate of USC and now am a self-employed professional. As a woman without children, I’m finding it hard to find others who have the time to hang out, but I would love to find my group of girls to form an adult “babysitters club….” but without the babysitting part so….maybe just some women to sit around, chat about the big and little things of life, and goof off with.

THIS EVENT IS UN-HOSTED!
Charlotte (the leader of this meet-up group) sings and dances with the world famous Angel City Chorale. You may have seen us on America's Got Talent, where we got the golden buzzer and made it all the way through the semi-finals. We've got our big holiday show coming up and I wanted to invite all of you!
Because I'll be performing in it I can't officially host this or gather us all as a group but if you plan to go, please feel free to post your plans and seats here so that you can find each other if you'd like to get together with others from the group.
Bling on the Holidays!, will be at UCLA's Royce Hall on Saturday, December 7th @ 7pm PT. (There is also a show Sunday, December 8th @ 3pm PT with Livestream which will be amazing you if you can’t make it Saturday. Unfortunately, I won’t be performing on Sunday as I’ll be at the Society of Voice Arts & Sciences Gala, where I’ve been nominated for five voiceover awards.)
Tickets are available from $25 and up. The livestream of Sunday's performance is available for free for those of you that can't come in person.
This year’s holiday concert is a celebration of coming together as a community and rediscovering the joy of the season. And this year, we are encouraging the audience to become part of the magic by wearing their own holiday bling. So come rocking your favorite holiday party outfit or ugly sweater.
