2024 Ugly Sweater Party!!

Happy Holidays everyone! We decided to move up our yearly holiday event since a lot of people will likely be traveling later in the month. Let's don our ugliest sweaters and enjoy a casual night on the town.

If you didn't come last year, this is easily one of the most fun events of the year. We'll start the night with some games at GPub before seeing where the night takes us. There's also a contest for the best sweaters with some modest prizes provided by the hosts. Of course, if you'd rather just dress normally that's perfectly fine :)

Let's get together at GPub since they have a ton of indoor space to accommodate large groups. Located in the center of Downtown Providence, the basement pub offers plenty to keep us busy. GPub sports multiple pool tables, shuffleboard, air hockey and sometimes cornhole. They also have a small arcade, the play until you win duck claw machine is always a crowd favorite.

Drinks wise, GPub has pretty much everything. If you're craving a cocktail, they should have no problem making any drink you may want. They offer a solid beer and cider selection on tap. Then there's plenty of canned options, including seltzers of course. They also serve food, so if you come hungry take a look at their menu.

We'll likely stay at Gpub the longest since it's a good gathering spot. If you want to eat during the event, GPub will likely be your safest bet since we'll be there for awhile. Before we move on the hosts will pass out the prizes for the best sweaters, but we'll make sure to wait for at least an hour after the start time just incase people have to come late or have trouble parking. Once we move on from GPub, we'll update our location in the comments. Everything will be a short walking distance just incase it's cold or the weather isn't on our side.

Now for the more serious stuff. Just a couple quick notes.

While we may move bars, this isn't a pub crawl. We don't have a list of bars we plan to visit or a set structure for the event, it will depend on the night and what the group would like to do. If you attended last year, it will be similar. If you have any requests or suggestions reach out to the hosts in advance or talk to us at the event. We'll do our best to accommodate requests. :)

We are asking that everyone please drink responsibly and stay safe throughout the night. Additionally, we highly recommend using a ride share service or planning a designated driver in advance if possible. By RSVPing to this event you are agreeing that you are responsible for any damages/injuries you may incur as a result of your own conduct, and that you waive the meetup and its' hosts from any liability for damages/injuries you may incur.
