Trefonen Circular.

Starting from the village car park (Chapel View) adjacent to the Barley Mow car park, this walk is exactly ten miles with just over 1,300 feet of ascent. We will follow Offa’s Dyke South through Nantmawr, Jones Rough and Llanymynech Rock, then quiet country lanes and public footpaths will take us to Sweeney Mountain before a sharp left through Woodhill back towards Trefonen.
A series of “undulations” for most of the walk but nothing too strenuous. A couple of places will be very muddy so appropriate footwear is essential and there’s quite a lot of styles, but we’ve allowed plenty of time for these to ensure an enjoyable event.
